A Class XII student was suspended from the Kothari International School in sector 50 for allegedly carrying firecrackers and bursting them inside school premises on Friday.
The student's father Kartar Singh Chauhan, however, claimed that his son did not carry the firecrackers. Chauhan said, "It is someone else that had put the firecrackers in my son's bag, when he was searched."
"I have requested the school authorities to not go ahead with the action. His pre-board exams are coming, it is going to be devastating, he added.
The student has also claimed that he had gone to school on Friday and some students mischievously hid a cracker in his school bag. "When I returned from the prayer, I found lighter and a firecracker in my bag," student, said.
However, the school authorities have said that the investigation is underway and the student has only been suspended and not rusticated."
"We have got the information about this and we are in touch with the school authorities. It is a sensitive case as a student's career is at stake," said City Magistrate Bacho Yadav.
Father of the 17-year-old has allegedly claimed to move to the court if principal doesn't take the action back as he believes it wasn't his son who did this mischievous activity.
