Amid speculation that JNU’s Chief Proctor quit from the post over handling of the Afzal Guru row, JNU on Saturday said he had resigned much before the controversy broke out. A section of teachers and students have been claiming that Krishna Kumar, former Chief Proctor, who demitted office on February 29, resigned from the post as the administration was pressurising him about the enquiry of the panel investigating the row over an event against hanging of Afzal Guru.
