Investigation into the murder of Air Force Sergeant, Ramesh Chandra (40) revealed it was a result of carnal frustration of his 28-year-old wife Sudha Gupta.
According to sources, she was annoyed with her husband’s drinking habit and killed Ramesh along with her juvenile paramour. Sources further revealed that the woman was sexually dissatisfied with her husband as Ramesh would not pay attention to her.Hence, she entered into a relationship with the juvenile in her neighbourhood, whom she met around six months ago, when she was teaching at a coaching centre inside the Air Force base.
On the fateful day, the boy entered the house and pushed Ramesh to the floor. He then overpowered him and strangulated him. Police said as investigations began, Sudha was the prime suspect since she was with the accused during the time of the incident. The police officials tracked her down with the help of technical surveillance to her new residence in Vasant Gaon area, South Delhi, where she was staying with her inamorato. The police apprehended the duo after the post-mortem report revealed asphyxia and throttling as the cause of death of Ramesh.
The injury marks were found to be ante-mortem. After receiving the report, a murder case was registered at Delhi Cantonment PS and a team was formed under the supervision of Inspector Suresh Kumar. The juvenile was also apprehended when he had come to visit Sudha at the residence. Sudha has done her Masters in Economics from Gorakhpur University and the juvenile is a Class X dropout. “After the death of Ramesh, the body was taken to his home town in Allahabad, where it was cremated. However, the family of the deceased got suspicious since Sudha was frequently on the phone. After coming back to Delhi, Sudha went to Amritsar with the juvenile where she stayed there for a week, which further aroused suspicions,” said a senior police official. “After coming back from Amritsar, she rented an accommodation in Vasant Gaon, where she started living with the boy and her three-year-old daughter, as a married couple. The juvenile has been sent to an observation home and Sudha is in police custody till Sunday. Further investigations are underway,” said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-West district) Dinesh Kumar Gupta. Police said a note has been recovered from the deceased, addressed to his Commandant, stating should anything happen to him, half his property be given to charity, the other half to his daughter.
