The Delhi BJP on Saturday put up a series of hoardings across the national Capital in which it criticised the Arvind Kejriwal-led Government for spending whopping Rs526 crore for its advertisement campaign. In the hoardings, the Delhi BJP has asked the Chief Minister to answer “why have you wasted Rs526 crore on publicity when this fund could be utilised to put up five lakh cameras for women’s security”.
Hitting back at the Kejriwal’s Government, the BJP has now put posters, issued by party’s vice-president Kuljeet Singh Chahal, questioning the need behind spending such a big amount on the advertisement. In the posters, Chahal said, “Answer Kejriwal sir, why the people’s Rs526 crore was spoiled for advertisement.”
The BJP hoardings also said as many as “200 new schools and 50 new colleges can be opened with this money and people can get 2,000 new buses.
“Five lakh people can get pension for one year and one lakh youth can get employment while 1,000 unauthorised colonies can get drinking water with that amount of money”. The development came after the Aam Aadmi Party Government had installed hoardings asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to intervene in its functioning.
