'BJP has no right to declare manifesto'

Terming the Bharatiya Janata Party’s poll promises as a bundle of lies to fool voters, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati said that it had lost the moral right to come out with a manifesto after failing to fulfil the promise of ‘achche din’.

She claimed that all parties just talk big in their manifestos and later do nothing for people’s welfare hence her party has refrained from releasing a manifesto.

“People should be aware of false poll promises made by the BJP. The BJP’s poll manifesto is just an eyewash. Its much -hyped ‘achhe din’ has never come to UP and the party has also not fulfilled the promise of providing Rs 15 lakh to every account after bringing back black money stahsed in foreign banks within 100 days,” she added.

Not forgeting to play the Dalit-Muslim card while flaying BJP’s manifesto, Mayawati said, “The BJP is day-dreaming of returning to power in UP. It has started making statements on reservation, but the BSP has vowed that it would not allow BJP to come to power at any cost,” she said.

“Any Government, especially the BJP and RSS cannot snatch the right to reservation. If the Modi Government brings about a law for ending reservation, people of these sections will teach them a lesson and remove them from political scenbe,” she said.

“This also shows the double face of the BJP, its ideologue and Modi towards Babasaheb Ambedkar who was messiah of dalits, advasis and other backward classes,” Mayawati said.

Asserting that only the BSP could ensure a fearless society to everyone particularly Muslims, Mayawati cautioned the minority not to let the vote go waste by voting for Samajwadi Party as they were hand-in-gloves with the BJP.

“Dalits and Muslims will suffer if the BJP comes to power in the State. People of the State have not forgotten the 500 communal riots in the State during the present SP regime,” she said.

Invoking demonetisation the BSP chief said, “People will never forget the hardships faced due to demonetisation.”

Reacting on Amit Shah’s promise of making efforts to ensure construction of Ram temple under constitutional provisions, Mayawati said that BJP was earlier in power both at the Centre and in UP, but they did nothing.

Rs Rs Ram Temple issue is in Supreme Court and everyone knows that either the judiciary or a mutual consent could resolve the stalemate,” she pointed while saying that the BJP was trying to polarise voters by raising the temple issue.

On Shah’;s criticism of the merger of Mokhtar Ansari led Qaumi Ekta Dal (QED) into BSP, Mayawati said that BJP chief should first see his antecedent before criticising others.

Meanwhile, state Congress president Raj Babbar too criticised the BJP manifesto saying, Rs Rs Before assuring jobs to youths, the BJP should come out with a white paper on how many had lost livelihood after demonetisation.”

“As far as checking of mining mafia is concerned, maximum illegal mining is done in BJP-ruled states like Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand etc. Shah talks of development of Bundelkhand but will he clarify what did the BJP during its three terms in the state do for the region,” asked Babbar.

“During BJP’s previous regimes, not a single power plant or sugar mill was started, and the party played communal card to achieve success. After Rahul Gandhi raised the issue of waiver of loans to farmers, now the BJP has harped in the same. If  it is serfious, then would the PM waive off loans in all BJP-ruled states IJ’said the state Congress chief.
