The CPI(M) on Saturday hit out at the BJP-led Government at the Centre on its first anniversary of a resounding victory in lok Sabha polls, saying the Modi dispensation has failed to deliver on its promises and has been executing the policies of Congress over the past 12 months. Reacting to the PM’s claims that people’s faith in the Government and world’s optimism about the country was at an all time high, the left party said it was “only when he (Modi) looks at the country from abroad while the situation on the ground is different.” “He promised, one, less arrogance, more governance. Governance means delivery; it’s not only promises and suitable mechanisms. So, whatever wrong was there, that has been continuing,” the party said.
