Responding to the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) showcause notice, legislator Vinod Kumar Binny asked the party to provide him the copy of the party’s constitution to justify the ways in which he has tarnished the image of the party.
In the response, he has sought details from the party on Section 6 (i) a, which the party invoked against him while issuing him the notice. The party will now decide its further move during its Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meet on Sunday.
The party on Friday had issued notice to laxmi Nagar MlA for indulging in activities aimed at tarnishing the image of the party. “By filing this sort of reply of not having read the constitution of the party, which is easily available on the party’s website, Binny is trying to hide behind this excuse. He has asked the party to justify the notice served to him by providing him with the copy of the constitution,” said a party’s official spokesperson.
Binny has been asked to respond to the notice by 5 pm on January 18 before the party’s national secretary Pankaj Gupta. Binny had attacked the party and the Government for allegedly backtracking on the promises made in the Assembly election manifesto, including on water and power sectors.
