Calling Bihar Shia Waqf Board a “den of corruption”, Shia cleric Maulana Syed Kalbe Jawwad Naqvi on Saturday demanded judicial enquiry against “corrupt officials” of the Board for “selling” prime waqf properties in the State.
Observing July 21 as ‘Black Day’ for last year's assault on Maulana Syed Mohammad Kazim 'Shabib' and other protesters in Muzaffarpur, he said, "People who assaulted whistleblower Maulana Kazim should be punished immediately."
Also, he asked the local administration to withdraw “fabricated” criminal cases slapped on the Maulana.
