Brilliance alone is no passport to sustained success. When people take reasoned initiatives, they may strike the Moon. The danger following success is that if balance of mind lacks, they may get on high horse. They then seldom care to look beyond their own perceptions. Their ego does not let them be open to listening or counsel. If, per chance, they happen to carry some illusionary tendencies, they become vulnerable to inadvertently get into a self-destructive mode. More so, because their imaginative minds, often tempts them to try out varied fanciful ideas, often distant from ground realities, without applying proper forethought. Such characters are often found to be in extremes, going through intermittent bouts of success and failures.
Experience suggests that the failure rating of extraordinarily intelligent people is much higher than the mediocre. First, the mediocre stick to the track they pick up. Second, they acknowledge their limitations, and so seldom venture out of their designated domain. And if at all their attention is drawn towards some tempting influences, they will weigh out the option thoroughly well, and may not hesitate seeking advice from others. They don’t carry any delusions. So often, the mediocre are able to maintain their pace.
It is pertinent to note here that everybody comes with a baggage full of Karmic imprints, both good and bad, as a carryover of the cause-effect chain one is bound to. This defines the unique character of a being — indwelling talents as well as limitations of mind. Evidently, it differs among people, coming as it may as a sequence to a particular set experiences one would have gone through in the past. The irony, however, is the talent will play out when consciously invoked and put to use. But the limiting factors involuntarily keep playing their part from the front, some of them potent enough to misdirect one’s talent.
To make things clear, let us now give a look into two case studies, and see how their inherent negative tendencies got them into self-undoing acts many a times. look at their astrological pointers. In the first case, the lagna lord Mercury, marked with one’s individuality, and coincidently intelligence signifying, is well aligned to intellectually ordained Uranus. This speaks loudly of the man’s dramatic talents, having inventive and innovative mind. Mercury, also well disposed of to mind signifying Moon is indicative of a very good communicative skill. Read together with Karmic Saturn beautifully placed with respect to Uranus, makes him thorough in his work, having eye even on bare details. It also makes him self-willed and fearless.
Towards his negative, the markers are Mars occupying the 2nd house, placed adverse to Moon conjunct Neptune, as well as Uranus. That makes him temperamental, irrational, and stuck to his fanciful dream perceptions distanced from ground reality. He may suffer on account of his indiscreet statement. He may invite his own fall because of indiscrete moves taken in a huff. Venus placed adverse to Uranus brings in the urge for quick financial gains, often tempting him into speculative moves that may eventually prove a misadventure. As a consequence, his well calculated initiatives brought him quick success. But immediately thereafter, his negatives took him for a ride, and the man is in serious trouble. It happened so twice in his life.
In the second case, thelagna lord Moon, also mind-signifier, occupying its own lunar constellation is beautifully aligned with Uranus. The 10th lord Mars in the 5th house marked with credits accumulated in the past, too, is well aligned to Uranus. The two put together speaks of hidden talent of immense value, which if unfolded can serve great purpose.
Towards the negative, the Sun placed adverse to Jupiter and Neptune speaks of his swaggering ego, stuck to his illusionary perceptions. It also makes him judgmental. Mars also placed adverse to Moon makes him temperamental and irritable. Saturn ill-oriented to Moon brings in a negative mindset having cribbing tendencies, in the habit of blaming others for all that goes wrong in his life. In the event of failure, he may suffer from identity crisis, bringing in a tendency of trying to prove always right. Mercury ill-disposed off to Mercury makes him opinionated and eccentric. Venus placed adverse to the Sun, Neptune, and Jupiter, makes him highly touchy and sensitive, as well as greedy. This person, after making a mark for his talent, has crossed path with his benefactors, and with obvious consequences.
