The thought-seeds picked up in the past and parked in the inner realm of mind, sets the terms of one’s inherent frame of mind, and which holds the key to how one would ordinarily relate to the outer world. The character and content of these thought-seeds, define how our ‘Performing-Self’ would manifest.
During the journey of life, often we have to contend with lot of unforeseen circumstances causing unpleasant experiences, leading to deep seated stress. The feel thereof, often make a deep impact on our psyche, particularly when they pertain to long drawn painful experiences. These impressions keep chasing us from within, and we may not be even conscious about how they take a toll on our inter-personal relationships. But they continue to affect our conduct in day-to-day terms for long, until identified, acknowledged, and consciously resolved.
The most intriguing part of the whole story is that those who become victims of the above noted circumstances have been often found to be unmindfully replaying the same on their younger generations. So, generations may unknowingly get caught up in such bind, and with obvious consequences.
To make things clear, let us have a look on a real time case study. A person, say Mr A, who happened to be the son of a big businessman, say Mr B, was continuously faulted and derided by his father, for the reasons best known to the latter. Over a period of time, A developed a sense of insecurity, which led to inferiority complex. That in turn, bred in an identity crisis in him. Further, as a carryover effect, he developed the tendency to prove him right before everyone and anyone and at any cost. In the process, many a times, he would overdo things.
Such characters, are often in a hurry to prove their point, and for want of patience, become susceptible to lose sense of direction and purpose, evidently detrimental to the self. Over a period of time, the father and son parted company.
It is almost 15 years now when A separated from B, and began working on his own. And now the victim, Mr A, is replaying the same on his son, Mr C, for no rhyme or reasons. Facing ignominy for almost three years now at the hands of his father, C seems to be developing similar psychic traits. He has turned rebellious and is now keen to move away from family business with the intent to grow so big that he could outshine his father.
When he came seeking guidance, he was advised to first get out of the vicious cycle of identity crisis running in his family for three generations now. “He wished to transform his anger against parents into an asset, by working overtime to outreach them financially”, he shared. Explaining, I said: There is nothing wrong in carrying high ambitions. But this particular wish, is actually a reflection of identity crisis in him, which he is not aware of, whereby he was trying to prove himself at any cost and that too fast.
So, if at all he wishes to successfully get to his designated destination, only physical endeavour would not suffice. A quality efforts would be needed. With the driving spirit of his initiative having negative overtones, his productive ability would get compromised. For, his mind would be unnecessarily engaged in brooding over expected fruits of action. In the process, mind space will get cluttered. Also, he will dissipate a considerable sum of energy. Consequently, he will be short of space and energy needed to meet the expectations of his productive initiatives.
let us now look at the astrological pointers of C. Thelagna lord Mars marked with the young man, crosses path with the Moon, the 9th lord identified with his father. The Sun, which happens to be natural signifying planet for father, is also placed adverse to Karmic Saturn. This speaks loud of his father’s negative mind-set and his identity crisis. All that A was subjected to by his father Mr B, got imprinted deep in the former’s mind, thus impairing his psyche, which drives him even till date.
