Astroturf | Don't let identity crisis overtake you
Published on:

People all across the globe seem to be in the grip of a sense of fear and insecurity, leading to serious identity crisis, which is in evidence at all levels of existence. Mighty nations seem to be worried about losing their hegemony over others, because weaker nations have of late begun claiming for their sovereign space. In reaction thereto, the mighty nations have been playing all arms in their store to maintain their supremacy, even if it means destabilizing weaker nations.

The underprivileged in the society, having gained access to education and exposure to the outer world, have of late begun asserting their identity, making it difficult for the hardened privileged ones to digest. Religious and cultural clans are passionately trying to exert their group identity so that in today’s days of communication explosion, their self-defined value system doesn’t get eroded under external influence. Some of them have been found to have gone to the extent of forcefully enforcing specific dress code so that their identity is marked. Even within a religious clan, those following different schools of thoughts, have been found to be aggressively trying to exert superiority of their theological doctrines over others. The so called self-acclaimed guardians of the particular school of thought would not hesitate taking recourse to violent measures killing many innocents. Consequently, a good part of the world is engaged in an endless clash. Even transnational conflict has been vitiating societal peace badly. So, on the whole a serious existential crisis is looming large over our head.

It is all happening because of ignorance. Whereas we have become conscious about earning academic laurels to secure a good future, we have not cared to explore existential dynamics even the least. The irony of the whole situation is that even those working in the name of God, seldom care to explore what He would have wished from us as human beings. let us not forget that God has not created any sense of divide.  Otherwise, He would not have provided for one Sun for the whole of the Universe, which is available in equal proportion to all of us. We need to draw succor from the common pool of air, water, and light. The divide is actually creation of human mind.  It is high time for all conscientious minds to work out plan to make common masses aware of the realities of life, before it becomes too late.

In such a vexed atmosphere, it is quite obvious for impressionable minds of individuals getting affected even at unitary level. The problem gets further compounded in today’s aspirational world, if ever an individual fails to make it to the aspired dream destination. The failure and frustration that follows, one often develops a sense of inferiority complex, which in turn, breeds in an identity crisis. It becomes difficult for an egotistical mind to digest such a situation. So, to cover up for such a predicament, they become keen about proving their worth by any means and in quickest possible time. In the process, they unmindfully begin overdoing things hastily, often falling into a self- made trap, and evidently to one’s detriment.

The strangest part of the whole situation is that even those not having any ground to carry the sense of fear, insecurity, and identity crisis are seen carrying these traits. Even those well established in life have been found displaying such trends. This, particularly when the person encounters failure in early life. The imprint of failure makes a deep impact on one’s psyche, which keeps playing for long until consciously resolved.

Here is a case of somebody under continued spell of unknown fear, insecurity, and identity crisis, with no apparent reasons for the same. For, in terms of career and financial worth, he is fully secure. Also, apparently there are no astrological pointers to the above effect. A detailed analysis answers the question. The Sun, ill-disposed off to Jupiter speaks of a person with high ambitions, but also carrying swaggering ego. He remains stuck to his self-defined beliefs and perceptions. It becomes difficult for him to digest anything happening to the contrary. This man failed to make it to his dream destination, and settle for something else.  That has put him in a negative bind.  The Sun, also placed adverse to Venus makes him emotionally too much touchy. If that would not be enough, Moon occupying a dual sign, is opposite Mercury, pointing to his suspicious and worrying mindset. So, one negative experience that he had continues playing in his mind.
