Astroturf : Balancing reasons and emotions
Published on:

Someone going through a painful emotional crisis came asking the other day: “I have been doing exceedingly well in my works, having earned prestigious awards for my exemplary research work. But in my personal life, I am going through very frustrating experiences. Does my destiny deny me enjoying personal happinessIJ And tell me what needs to be done to secure a fulfilling family lifeIJ Will some puja helpIJ”

Well, your high ambitions made you put your work at the top of your priority list. So, you were meticulous at work, gathered up all indwelling resources and put in your qualitative best. It was further aided by your indwelling talent. That made you perform exceeding well, which made you earn laurels.

On the contrary, once you got married, you left your emotional life just to its usual flow. Earlier, when you were to negotiate with your girlfriend, you moved carefully and paid attention to her immediate concerns and sensibilities more than was due. You were conscious enough not to allow your attitudes stand in the way. So, you could successfully bring her around and finally got hooked up. But once you got settled in marriage, you became complacent, when you began taking her for granted. Also, your true nature – inherent desire-trends, likes, dislikes, habits and attitudes came into full play, often in conflict with hers, and with obvious consequences.

Meanwhile, your intellectual urges and professional callings overtook your thought process. And in a bid to prove true to your aspirational urges, you put in your whole. That did not allow you necessary time and space to remain conscious about paying as much attention to your partner as she expected. So you failed to balance out between your professional callings and emotional life. Over a period of time, a sense of neglect grew in the lady’s mind. Clash of egos followed. In the process, sense of reasons took a back seat, whence unmindfully, both of you have been trying to find fault with each other.

Remember, two factors drive human mind, the prime mover of a being – reasons and emotion. Reasons help take most appropriate choices. Also, helps articulate ways and means to take the task in hand to its logical end with ease and comfort. And in a bid to prove true to the callings of work in hand, usually they lovingly apply reasons to their best. Emotions take care of the feeling side. In personal life, emotion plays heavy, when often reasons take a back seat. One then becomes vulnerable to unmindfully get into unintelligent moves, which may prove a spoiler. So, has it happened to you.

Now, coming to remedial measures, no puja is expected to do any good. For, the genesis of problem lies in your approach to life. No belief driven puja can correct your thought process and for that matter even that of your wife. It is only when you self-reflect, you may be able to figure out your own fault lines, which when addressed can help you reorient your thought process. In turn, that may help you suitably modify your approach to life.

let us now look at the astrological pointers of the man. In terms of his dramatic talents, Uranus, well aligned to Karmic Saturn and mind-signifying Moon sets the ground. Jupiter extending its benevolent support to the Sun adds quality and value to his approach. And fiery Mars well aligned to the Sun provides the strength to carry forward the tasks in hand.

Here again, the Sun is ill-disposed off to Moon as well as Saturn. That makes him emotionally volatile, which given a small trigger may lead to serious crisis. Also, he remains stuck to his individualistic beliefs, not easily amenable to change. When faced with unforeseen circumstances, his mind may take a negative turn. He may then become self-pitying and pessimist. Added to that is Mars placed adverse to Mercury and Neptune, pointing to a restive mind, vulnerable to get caught up in a circuitous web of his own assumed thoughts. Also, he is habitually suspicious and overcritical of others, and may develop inferiority complex. His sense of reasons take a backseat too, when he fails to look at the issues in hand in the right perspective, and with obvious consequences.  On top of that is his Venus, ill-disposed off to Mercury and Neptune. That makes his inter-personal relationship skill questionable. And the result is there to see.

Better he works upon his own fault lines before expecting from the other side to behave.
