Astroturf | Address infirmities, dreams may come true

Dreams are necessary for people to reach heights they are capable of. The Moon always evoked curiosity to man over ages, seen every day — yet unknown. A longing to know it led man to land on the Moon. We all dream of making it big in life, accordingly we set our desire-destination. The flight of mind would look for making it to the dream destination unhindered as a free bird, which can fly to its asking.

Truth, however, remains that not all succeed. We are often confronted with unwanted twists and turns on the way, and we are left nonplussed. life, seen in real terms, in fact looks paradoxical. You dream of flying like a bird, and you end up making an airplane. That, however, is contrasted by the fact that often you dream of something much lesser, and you end up a failure. You then realise that life doesn’t necessarily move to one’s asking. The obvious question that arises: Is life just fated one way or the otherIJ

The answer again is paradoxical — both yes and no. How do we reconcile these two oppositesIJ For the right lead, a look into our true-self is called for. Here, I am reminded of the opening statement of Isavasya Upanishada:  It states that out of the Whole (the Divine), we are all born the whole.  Remember, the word whole doesn’t mean perfection, rather it encompasses within itself both potential as well as vulnerabilities. Study reveals that at the core level, we are all born potentially perfect, which when unfolded in full, one would know no limits. But the manifest-self contains a lot of vulnerabilities.

The irony, however, is that the indwelling potential needs to be realised, invoked, honed, and consciously put to use. The vulnerabilities, on the contrary, keep involuntarily playing from the front. So long as the vulnerabilities remain subdued, the manifest part of our inlaid potential leads us to success. Normally, when one enters working life, the urge to establish oneself remains dominant. You then articulate your actions well, consciously trying to keep vulnerabilities in check. So, one has a taste of success. But once you gain status through conscious efforts, the sense of achievement brings into play the ego element. You begin to feel being a doer in your own right. You become complacent when your vulnerabilities find the opportunity for a free run. You may then be taken for a ride.

A gentleman who attained quick success till mid-40s, his life went for a toss post-45. Having struggled for almost five years, he came asking: “What made me due for such an ordealIJ What lies in store of my futureIJ As of now, I feel totally lost. Shall I be able to come out of the present messIJ”

A critical analysis of his astrological chart reveals the reason of his early success, failures later, and also the way forward. He was born with Scorpion lagna, with the 10th lord Sun tenanted there, which is well aligned to Karmic Saturn.  It speaks of a confident professional, armed with excellent leadership abilities with an eye on even bare details, good analytical abilities, and a good commercial sense. Moon occupying airy sign libra, and also conjunct intelligence signifying Mercury, points to his fertile brain, having excellent communication skills. lagna lord Mars in exaltation is well aligned to Saturn as well as Uranus.  It speaks of his innovative mind, scientific reasoning, organisational skill, self-confidence, and the vitals necessary to carry on the task in hand to logical end.  All put together qualifies him to make it big in life.

Towards the negative, the Sun is ill-disposed off to Jupiter. It points to his swaggering ego, which makes him overconfident of his abilities. In that hang, he may not care to balance out his vulnerabilities. The Sun, again, is adversely placed to Venus in debilitation in the 11th house identified with fulfilment of desires. This brings in the urge to quickly amass wealth. The Moon placed adverse to Uranus brings in mercurial temperament.

Till 45, the man grew beyond his expectations. Exactly at that age, progressed Sun touched upon Venus axis.  Simultaneously, transit Saturn had touched upon his natal Moon, which brought his scope of vision under limitation, to play the devil. He lost his sense of direction, whereafter his indiscrete speculative moves led to colossal loss. And the result is there to see. It is still not late, if he addresses his inherent vulnerabilities. He may soon regain his potential self and once again taste success.
