Astroturf | Live life at ease for peace

Human beings are born with an indwelling sense of freedom. Unlike other species bound by their predetermined nature, having no scope to make any exception, human beings do enjoy this privilege to a certain level. They can guide their actions by choice and discrimination. It needs to be appreciated here that the discriminatory ability is not there just to evaluate the choices in hand before putting them into action. It also calls upon you to explore and become aware of the realities of life — the way the world is made out. Becoming aware, thus, we may understand how and where we fit into the large and complex game plan of life. We then know how to relate to the world around.

When we have exposure to the design parameters underlying our existence, we realise that the whole world, with all its apparent differences and diversities, is actually an inseparable unitary organism. In this scheme of things, no individual existence has a reality independent of the whole. In fact, we are all framed into an interdependent mechanism, complementing and supplementing each other’s efforts, to carry on the cycle of life. By oneself, we can’t service even our bare existential needs. So, we all have a shared destiny. In such an integrated mechanism, if the collective existence is ever in a state of disarray, each one of us will suffer, as has been in evidence during the ongoing pandemic. Also, unseemly act of even a few can adversely affect the societal dynamics as a whole. It implies that freedom option is not absolute. It though allows you with the privilege to pursue your individualistic aspirations, but at the same time calls for being conscious about our collective obligations. Here again comes the role of our discriminatory ability, which may help you conduct in a way that doesn’t any way come in conflict with collective wellbeing.

In earlier times when we grew in a joint family, where at least three generations coexisted, children learnt how to be in accord with all despite all individual differences. As every individual is born unique, each manifesting varied traits, difference is normal. Yet, the living order has to keep moving ahead. That calls for a lesson in the ‘Art of Living,’ which lets you appreciate others sensibilities in concern even while pursuing your individualistic agenda. This is now wanting with nuclear families coming into place. Consequently, they are becoming more and more self-centric, tempted to passionately pursue their whims and fancies. They wish to live more in a demanding mode on their own exclusive terms, least bothered about other’s sensibilities and concerns. Intolerance and impatience are on the rise, which is adversely affecting familial and societal ties. That has made it difficult for even two generations to coexist. In the process, the parents, who given their aging, need support from youngsters, are being left helpless.

A case in point is that of USA based parents of their only child being pushed out because the son wishes to live by himself. Fact remains that the old couple, now in their seventies, toiled all their life to raise their child in a way that he doesn’t have to go through similar ordeal. And now they are being forced to seek retirement and move back to India, so that he could enjoy independent space with his partner.

A couple of months back, the old man, worried about continued argument between his son and his partner, not knowing the underlying cause, had forwarded his son’s chart to figure out his partnership prospects.

A look at the son’s astrological pointers made things clear. He is born in a Scorpio lagna which makes him keen about living in a demanding mode. The lagna lord Mars in debilitation is parked in the 8th house identified with difficulties of his own making. Also, he would be aggressive, impulsive, irritable, intolerant and impatient. If that would not be enough, Mars is placed adverse to 9th lord Moon and 4th lord Saturn, respectively signifying his father and mother. It implies that if the son somehow gets trapped into the circumstances of his own making, he will not hesitate unsettling even his parents, which is now in sight. Venus, the 7th lord placed adverse to Uranus makes him vulnerable to get into unseemly partnership, which has happened. Now, clueless on how to make it work, he seems to have lost his sense of reasons. Look at the timing. Transit Saturn has been moving opposite natal Mars and the Sun, and the problem got aggravated.
