Andhra Pradesh will be developed into the no. 1 State where every home will get round-the-clock power supply, cooking gas through pipeline, nobody will be homeless and every family will have at least one entrepreneur, State Governor ESl Narasimhan said.
The Budget Sessions of both the Telangana and AP State legislatures began in Hyderabad on Saturday with the Governor ESl Narasimhan delivering his customary inaugural address to two legislatures separately.
While the event passed off smoothly in AP House, Governor’s address to Telangana legislature was marred by noisy protests and interruptions by Opposition Congress, Telugu Desam Party, BJP and left members. They shouted slogans, tore the copies of Governor’s address. At one stage there was scuffle between the Opposition and Treasury members as TDlP leader E Dayakar Rao and members Revanth Reddy Madhav Rao were jostled.
In his brief address to the Telangana legislature, Narasimhan expressed his satisfaction over the overall growth of the State over the last nine months and set a target of 5.35 per cent GSDP growth for 2015-16. The Governor announced that by 2020, every family in the State will have a house of its own and 33.8 lakh houses will be built by linking it to Aadhaar card.
