Gearing up for one of the biggest rallies by BJP’s Prime Minister hopeful Narendra Modi in the Capital on Sunday, massive security arrangements have been made by Delhi Police to maintain law and order.
In order to avoid any untoward incident like the one that erupted at his recent rally in Jaipur, this time Modi would be encased by a three-tier security system and commandos from different security forces will keep a hawk-eye vigil on the proceedings.
Delhi Police top brass have readied a helipad for Modi near Japanese Park and he will travel reach the venue in his cavalcade. Specially trained security personnel from Gujarat will also accompany Modi to the venue. There will be a three-tier security system in place and Delhi Police will provide proximate security cover to the Gujarat Chief Minister. Three will be 32 Black Cat Commandos from the elite National Security Guards (NSG) followed by Delhi Police and volunteers.
Two counter terrorism SWAT units will also be stationed at the venue. This apart, a sniffer canine squad and an explosives squad will canvass the venue during the duration of the rally.
