Akhilesh: No truth in poll surveys

Published on:

Reiterating the Samajwadi Party’s commitment to stop communal forces from coming to power at the Centre, UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said there was no truth in the poll surveys which predicted that the SP would perform poorly in the lok Sabha elections.

“Everyone knows how these survey companies collect their samples. They have predicted a poor performance by the SP but not a single sample was collected from Mainpuri, Kannauj, Etah, Azamgarh or Etawah. This shows that these surveys were not conducted scientifically,” said Yadav completed two years in office on Saturday. He, however, added that there could be some realistic assessment of the surveys.  “One newspaper recently claimed that all such surveys are bakwas (rubbish)... They give some truth but the real truth is the fight at the booth level,” he said.
