AAP unleashes ad war on Bedi

Published on:

Intensifying its attack on BJP’s chief ministerial face Kiran Bedi, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has released a new set of advertisements to be put behind autos in the city where they have openly called Bedi an opportunist. The posters give the public a choice between the ‘honest’ Arvind Kejriwal and the ‘opportunist’ Kiran Bedi.

Earlier the AAP had put out posters behind autos with BJP’s Jagdish Mukhi which had received immense criticism from the BJP. However, ever since Bedi has come into the picture, AAP’s campaigning has also changed its colour to fit her in. The new hoardings with Bedi on the poster were put up on Saturday.

This is the first direct attack that the party has made on Bedi especially while campaigning. Calling her opportunist, a senior leader of AAP said, “There are several names that without thought are being thrown at Arvind Kejriwal. He’s being called a Naxalite, madari, rakshas and what not. We are only calling her an opportunist which is what not only us but even the public feels she is.”

Another hoarding other than the one targeting Bedi being put up shows the results of recent exit polls where up to 62 per cent of the people want Kejriwal to be the Delhi CM.
