AAP to pull plug on Sheila's 'baby'?

Scrapping the Ambedkar Nagar-Moolchand Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor was one of the primary issues during the campaign for the recently-held Delhi Assembly elections, especially in Greater Kailash constituency represented by Delhi Transport Minister Saurbah Bhardwaj.
Taking note of an accident on BRT corridor, four AAP MlAs — Saurabh Bhardwaj, Madanlal, Dinesh Mohania and Prakash Jarwal — met PWD Minister Satyendra Jain on Saturday and urged him to either scrap the controversial BRT stretch or review it.
Delhi Police chief BS Bassi had recently written to the lieutenant Governor urging that the project be scrapped. Bassi wrote that the signalling system was not in sync with the main carriageway, bus stops situated in the middle of the road increased the risk of pedestrian causalities, the faulty layout left little lane space for manoeuvring heavy traffic and no merging distance for buses after they move out of the central lane onto the open road just before the Defence Colony flyover made the site accident-prone.
BRT corridor is considered close to erstwhile Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, who had received flak since its inception in 2008.
