AAP Govt involved in 3 big scams, alleges Mishra

Sacked Water Minister Kapil Mishra made fresh allegations against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday accusing the latter and Health Minister Satyendar Jain of misappropriating  health funds. Mishra said three big scams were perpetrated in the health sector by the Aam Aadmi Party Government, in which one  scam involving procurement of medicines runs to the tune of more than Rs300 crore.

“They (AAP-Government) improperly procured medicines, overpaid for ambulances and violated rules in transfers and appointments,” he said.

Mishra said that Jain did not allow hospitals to buy medicines and instead handed over the task to a central procurement authority.

“The Government bought medicines worth crores of rupees six months in advance, even when hospitals said they don’t need it. Three godowns were built to store the medicines, which have been wasted,” he alleged.

This development comes after Kejriwal paid surprise visits to city-run hospitals and claimed that the hospitals lacked medicines, thus making the procurement and free medicines mandatory to poor.
