The AAP has begun its preparations for the elections in Rajasthan next year with senior leader Kumar Vishwas as the State in-charge. The first meeting which lasted for five hours, was a platform for the Rajasthan unit to offer it's feedback to the leadership and a "constructive discussion" took place towards charting the future course of the party in Rajasthan. The senior leaders motivated the entire team to begin working on building the organisation, keeping the 2018 State Assembly elections in mind.

Vishwas said during the meet, "The party will prepare for the election in three phases of 6 months each. The first phase will be focused on building the organisation, the second will be for mass contact programmes and the final phase will be the formal election campaign. The Rajasthan State Assembly election is very important for the party."
