A five-storey building collapsed in West Delhi's Inderpuri area on Saturday morning. Five persons were sustained minor injuries and were later discharged from a nearby hospital.
Photos of the site show the tilted building resting dangerously on an another building inside a narrow lane.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, West district, Vijay Singh said a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and further investigation has been taken up in the matter.
Prima facie it has appeared that the weak structure of the building led to the incident as the building was made of low grade construction material, added the official.
Relief and rescue teams were to the spot along with few fire tenders.
The area was cordoned off to prevent more damage. It appears that the building collapsed due to low grade construction material.
