Thirty-four militant groups from around the world had reportedly pledged allegiance to the ISIS as of mid-December and that number will only grow in 2016, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said in a report.
Ban said UN member states should also prepare for an increase attacks by ISIS associated groups from countries such as the Philippines, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, libya and Nigeria. According to the UN mission in Iraq, cash taken from banks in provinces under ISIS control totaled $1 billion.
