A 32-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped and thrashed in a moving car by five unidentified men on Meerut Road in Ghaziabad. The woman, a resident of Seelampur area of Delhi, was abducted on Friday afternoon near GTB Hospital in Delhi, police said.
According to police, the woman is recuperating at district hospital and her statement has not been recorded as yet. “A case will be registered once she gives her statement, police said. The accused had dumped the woman at an isolated place on Meerut Road late on Friday,” police said adding that there are several injury marks on her body.
“She is recuperating in the hospital and is still not able to record her statement. She initially told us that five unidentified men abducted her from near GTB Hospital in Delhi on Friday afternoon,” said a police officer. Police sources said that it seems that she was assaulted and raped by them.
