Athens: A woman has died in hospital taking the death toll from Greece's worst wildfires to 88, many of them children, officials said on Saturday. The unnamed woman in her 40's had been in hospital since fire ravaged the seaside village of Mati, east of the capital Athens, on Monday.

Kabul: A militant attack on a midwife training centre in eastern Afghanistan on Saturday killed at least two people and wounded five, officials said, after the more than six-hour assault was brought to an end by security forces.
At least 67 people, including students and teachers, were inside the centre in Jalalabad.
