Ahmedabad: The police on Saturday claimed to have busted a call centre running from moving vehicles with the arrest of five men who allegedly duped US citizens by offering low-interest loans over phone. The crime branch sleuths also seized three vehicles.

26 projects approved for Ganga clean up
New Delhi: The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) has approved 26 projects worth Rs 2,154.28 crore under the Centre's 'Namami Gange' programme, aiming to reduce the river's pollution load. As part of the projects, the NMCG will set up sewage treatment plants (STPs) and develop sewage network in four Ganga basin States: Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Delhi.
Wanted criminal held in Kairana
Muzaffarnagar: A criminal carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 was arrested after an exchange of fire with the police near Kairana in Shamli district on Saturday. Superintendent of Police, Shamli, Ajaypal Sharma said Furkan was arrested while he was allegedly preparing to commit some crime in Kairana.
