Woman steals ‘Neglected’ baby Jesus from Nativity scene

Police say a woman stole baby Jesus from a Nativity scene in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and dropped the figurine off at a hospital with a note explaining that the baby had been “neglected” by his parents, “Joseph and Mary Christ.”

The 49-year-old Jacqueline Ross reportedly told them it was a joke, but they aren’t laughing. She was identified from surveillance video and is jailed on charges of theft and institutional vandalism.

Police say she went to the hospital early on December 4 just minutes after stealing the $2,700 figurine from Payrow Plaza. They also say she left a note with the porcelain baby that read, in part, “Child has broken right foot which is been (sic) neglected. Parents Joseph and Mary Christ got a warning.”

Ross doesn’t yet have an attorney.

Pie sent into stratosphere in a three-hour flight

The humble comestible was attached to a weather balloon by a team from Sent Into Space — and sent on an upward journey reaching about 100,000 feet.

It was launched last week from a pub car park near to where the pie eating championships are to be held next week in Wigan. Video footage shows the pie making its glorious journey, soaring way above the clouds in a flight which lasted about three hours.

After it crashed down back to Earth it was sent for testing to see whether its molecular structure had changed.

Those involved in its trip said it would have been frozen as it made its ascent — before being cooked as it hurtled back towards the ground.

Hairdresser dyes woman’s hair with Nutella, milk

Well, this is nuts — it turns out you can use a delicious blend of Nutella and condensed milk to dye your hair.

Beauty blogger Huda Kattan shared a video on Instagram of a woman having her hair treated with the hazelnut chocolate spread, which, as you’re probably aware, is more often used to top toast, fill croissants, or swirl into brioche.

The woman had the hair treatment at the Aded & Samer salon in Dubai. She walked in with blonde hair,

and walked out with a light, indulgent shade of brunette.

The hairdresser’s technique/recipe is simple — she smothers the client’s hair with Nutella, drizzles a little condensed milk over the top, then puts folds of tin foil over the top to lock in the goodness.

Priest wears goat horns in driving license photo

An ordained Pagan priest finally has gotten the OK to sport goat horns in his Maine driver’s license photo.

Maine resident Phelan Moonsong said that unless he’s sleeping or bathing, he always wears his goat horns, which serve as his spiritual antennae and help him educate others about Paganism.

But Moonsong is questioning why he had to appeal his driver license’s photo to the state after explaining his religious beliefs to Bureau of Motor Vehicle staff. Plus, he adds, the horns didn’t obstruct his face.

The Maine Secretary of State’s office said the state was not familiar with his choice of headdress and had asked Moonsong for more information to review the issue. A spokeswoman said the state allowed the goat horns because Moonsong cited their religious purposes and also because they didn’t obstruct his face. Maine motor vehicle staff can hold license photos for review if they have a concern about religious headdress.

Moonsong said after he applied for an updated driver’s license in August and explained his religion to a motor vehicles employee, he was told to appeal his photo to the Secretary of State’s office. He said he provided more information to the Secretary of State’s office. But when he contacted the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in late November, he said he was told his ID was rejected — which was news to him.

Moonsong then filled out an application for legal assistance from the American Civil liberties Union, which recently told him it was unable to take his case.
