Shocked babysitter finds baby sleeping on her head
A Twitter user and first-time babysitter turned to the microblogging site for advice when she discovered the baby doing something unusual — sleeping on her head. Mikaela long, who is famous on social media for her humorous Vine videos, posted a photo to Twitter showing the moment a baby monitor camera captured the baby long was watching sleeping in a headstand position.
“This is my first time babysitting and I don’t know where I went wrong, but my niece is currently asleep on her head,” long tweeted. “Do I call the parents or the exorcistIJ”
The baby’s mother told Buzzfeed News her daughter has been seen practising the unusual sleeping method lately. “She’s been quite acrobatic lately,” she said. “It baffles me as well.”
She said the girl eventually ends up in a more typical horizontal position while sleeping. “I think it’s just her settling down and getting comfortable.”

Britain’s new 5 pound note also plays vinyl records!
The value of the British pound sterling may have been dropping in recent weeks but imaginative Brits have found a way to put cash to work. It turns out that the new plastic five pound note can be used as a stylus to play vinyl records.
A number of YouTube videos have been posted in recent days showing the new note “playing” music on a turntable, though it must be said the fidelity does not match sound produced by expensive equipment.
The plastic note is illustrated with images of Queen Elizabeth II and Winston Churchill. It was introduced last month to generally favourable reviews. The note is worth just over $6 at Wednesday’s rate. The pound has been dropping largely because of concerns about Britain leaving the European Union.

Meatless Burger that ‘bleeds’ just like beef
A Silicon Valley company unveiled a new meatless burger designed to taste, smell, look, and even “bleed” like a beef patty. Impossible Foods, a company founded and headed by former Stanford professor Patrick Brown, said the team spent five years studying all aspects of a beef burger before settling on their plant-based Impossible Burger recipe.
“We didn’t just slap together a bunch of bits and pieces from plants and call it a burger. We did deep research to understand what makes a burger so delicious,” said Brown.
He said the process involved the use of heme, a blood-like liquid created from a soybean gene injected into yeast, which is then fermented. The red-hued heme is what gives the burger its red colour and causes it to “bleed” while cooking, just like a beef patty.
“It cooks just like meat, the only difference is that it gets a little bit crisper on the outside, but that’s really the only difference,” said Traci Des Jardins, owner of Jardiniere, one of three restaurants slated to start offering this burger.
The creators said Impossible Foods’ burger offers health benefits, including more protein, less fat and fewer calories than a lean beef patty. It also contains no cholesterol, the company said.

Texas man survives tumble into a trash compactor
Fire officials in Texas say a man who apparently was sleeping in a dumpster survived when he and the trash in the bin were dumped into a trash truck, compacted and then hauled to a transfer station.
Workers at the transfer station in Wichita Falls saw the man tumble from the truck into a large garbage pit. Emergency responders had to lower a basket into the pit to retrieve the unidentified man, who appeared to be conscious when rescued and was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Officials say the man is in his 60s.
Had workers not seen him fall into the pit, he could have been placed in another compactor before being loaded onto a truck and hauled to a landfill.

Ronald McDonald keeping low profile
McDonald’s says Ronald McDonald is keeping a low profile with reports of creepy clown sightings on the rise. McDonald’s Corp said it is being “thoughtful in respect to Ronald McDonald’s participation in community events” as a result of the “current climate around clown sightings in communities”. The company did not provide any other details about how often its red-haired mascot makes appearances, and how that will change.
The burger chain’s decision comes after a rash of pranks around the country that have involved eerie clown sightings. The reports have forced police in some areas to respond.

Pizza Party launched in Massachusetts
Josh Freeman is searching for his slice of the Massachusetts electorate. The 42-year-old Raynham man is the founder of the Pizza Party, a political designation officially recognised by state election officials.
Freeman says he doesn’t recruit members and no Pizza Party candidate has ever run for office or raised any money. Still, the Pizza Party has enrolled 184 registered voters.
That’s enough to have the party listed as a “political designation” on the State Secretary’s website, but 42,000 or so voters short of being listed as an official party. With no Pizza Party presidential candidate on the ballot, Freeman plans to vote for Republican Donald Trump.
