Have a halt-free experience
Earlier this year, Videocon had launched two new smartphones — the A20 and A30. The A30, which is more costlier, comes with a dual SIM feature and Android 4.0 operating system. It has a four-inch screen with WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution and a 1 GHz dual core Qualcomm Scorpion processor. It also has a 5 megapixel rear camera with lED flash and a front facing VGA camera with a 1500 mAH battery.
The phone — with a black top and a white-coloured back panel — gives it a sleek look. A bit too sleek in fact. If not held firmly there is a chance that one may drop the phone. A few users may find the power button that is on top of the phone a bit uncomfortable. But it makes up when it comes to the display screen. It is bright and the programme icons are large enough to read, definitely a plus for all those who have a weak eyesight. Another good is the division between the apps and widgets. The gesture search widget is interesting — one just has to write an alphabet with the tip of the finger on the screen and everything with that alphabet appears on the screen. Of course, one will have to train the finger to write the letter in a way that the phone can recognise it.
Priced at Rs7,699, the phone has many features including a nice camera with auto focus. Also, if the usage is not heavy, the performance is good and doesn’t hang. Considering the price and some great features, it makes for a good buy.
