Firemen took a total of 22K calls in 2012
Delhi PWD Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan took the salute at the Delhi Fire Service Raising Day parade on Saturday at Rohini. Chauhan was a chief guest of the function on behalf of the Chief Minister of Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Chauhan said that DFS responded to approximately 22,058 emergency calls successfully last year.
Among those, two were of serious in nature - the Punjab National Bank fire and the Himalaya House blaze in Connaught place -- successfully and rescued more than 250 employees. There has been no casualty involving DFS personnel during year 2012.
Noida playschool holds annual day function
Rhythm Playschool and day care, Sector 51 in Noida celebrated their 7th Annual function, UTSAV 2013. The function saw the participation of over 120 students within the age group of 2 to 4 years from the school including children availing special education. The chief guest of the event was Rashmi Singh, executive director, National Mission of Empowerment of women, Ministry of Welfare and Child Development. The students brought forward the cultural spectrum of India and the spirit of patriotism. The students enjoyed performing in front of the gathering with great confidence.
