‘I am my worst critic’
What’s keeping you busy these daysIJ
I had gone for a short vacation with my school friends. Now, I am back reading a few movie scripts and just chilling out. I think I deserved this small break because last year had been very exhausting for me. I was running from shoot to shoot. But now I am all recharged. I want to take on challenging projects.
The Indian Premier league is round the corner. Any special plansIJ
I’m a patriotic cricket fan. It’s always fun to watch IPl matches with a friends and family. Because cricket is essential a group event and IPl being fulto entertainment, it makes more sense to watch it in a gang. As for my favoruite team, that keeps changing season to season. I am not very sure whether to support Mumbai Indians or to go with Chennai Super Kings.
How do you analyse your performance in a filmIJ
I’m my worst critic. Whenever I am watching my film, I can only find flaws. But I am a good learner. I quickly try to make amends. This keeps me grounded. Although I don’t like to look into the future, I would like to be in a happy space two years from now, both personally and professionally.
You have worked with a lot of big names in Bollywood. How has the experience beenIJ
I have just done just a handfull of movies. I am still not satisfied. There are still so many talented people that I would like to work with. I totally believe in fate. let’s see where my fate and luck take me in the coming years.
You are a seasoned actress from down south. How is that different from BollywoodIJ
There are more actresses in Bollywood than in Tollywood. The Hindi film industry is competitive, it’s a bigger playground, very professional and glamorous. Tollywood is more traditional.
You are a self-made actress...
I don’t have a Godfather. Whatever I have achieved today is due to my efforts alone.
