20-yr-old Sarita Vihar girl raped, beaten

A 20-year old girl was allegedly raped at her house in Ali Goan area of Sarita Vihar on Saturday morning while her family members were away at work. 

She was also brutally attacked with a blunt object on her head. She was admitted in AIIMS Trauma Centre where she is undergoing treatment. 

A senior police said, “An unknown person barged into her house and sexually assaulted her and even beat her up. The girl had injury marks on her head that are caused by a blunt object. The incident came to light when the girl’s brother returned home and saw his sister lying on the floor unconscious. He immediately informed the police and she was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre.” 

A case has been registered at Sarita Vihar police station and Sections 376,452 and 307 under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) were booked. Around 20 people were detained and interrogated by the police.
