The Delhi Police arrested a man allegedly involved in shooting of two security guards of former councillor Kishen Pehelwan in SouthWest Delhi's Najafgarh area.

The incident had occurred, a year after Pehelwan’s brother, an Ex-MlA Bharat Singh, was murdered. However, the Delhi Police has ruled out reason of gang-war, saying that some of the accused have been identified. The accused was identified as Joginder alias Faulad (29), resident of Bahadurgarh , Haryana.

The incident occurred at 11:30 pm on Friday when a private function had been organised at the former councillor's office.  All guests in the party were drunk when a heated argument broke out among them, during which one Joginder, also a PSO, pulled out a gun and allegedly fired at Kumar and Fauji, said police.

“A call was received from Vikas hospital at 11:40 pm informing about the two injured with bullet injuries," said a police officer while adding, "One was brought dead while the other was critically injured." One of the deceased was identified as Ashok (42), resident of Etah district in Uttar Pradesh while other was called Fauji, also from UP.

In March last year, Pehelwan's brother Bharat Singh, who was a former lawmaker, was shot dead by assailants.
