A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped in South Delhi’s Kotla Mubarakpur area. The accused called her on the pretext of getting her a job on Thursday afternoon. The police later traced the accused and arrested him on Friday.
The incident took place on Thursday afternoon when the accused phoned up the victim on the pretext of getting her a job. The accused identified as Amarpal told the victim that he would come with her for an interview in Kotla Mubarakpur area. The victim told police that the accused allegedly took her to a secluded area where he raped her. He later threatened her of dire consequences if she revealed about the incident to anyone. The victim, who resides at a JJ cluster in the area, also told police that the accused saw her in the area and later started searching for her number. He reportedly contacted her and told her that she should quit studies and start working. The girl provided a detail description of the accused and he was later nabbed from the area. Amarpal works as a labourer in a tent shop.
