Vidhit Tulshan and Dhruv Kumar of Terrai Natural Products recently won the National Finals of the 8th TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge held at lam luk Ka golf club at Bangkok. The victory earned them a chance to represent India at the World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC) that will be held in Scotland from 7-12 May.

Twenty nine-year-old Tulshan is very excited about representing India at international level and that too in a sport he is very passionate about. “I feel very proud and lucky to get this opportunity (to represent India) and to able to pursue my passion at international level,” Tulshan said.

Both Tulshan and Kumar are businessmen and avid golfers. While Tulshan is into graphic designing and printing, Kumar deals in natural skin and haircare products.

A hectic business life, however,  gives them little time to play golf but they still manage to go to the Delhi Golf Course twice every week. “Golf is my hobby. I play golf twice every week and follow it passionately.

“For World finals, we haven’t planned anything special. We don’t get much time to practice. We are just going to go and have fun there,” Tulshan said.

In Bangkok, Tulshan (30 points, h’cap 9) and Kumar (35 points, h’cap 10) had emerged on top of the leaderboard with 65 Nett points. They had edged out Mumbai’s Ador Welding team, consisting of Riaz Batlivala (31 points, h’cap 7) and Aditya Malkani(33 points, h’cap 8 ), by just one point.

Thirty golfers representing 15 corporate teams took part in the India Challenge. The participating teams had winners from five regional qualifiers held in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkota and Hyderabad.

The 20th edition of World Finals will be held at the famous Carrick Golf Course, on loch lomond, on the outskirts of Glasgow, where golfers from around 25 countries will compete.
