Brazilian legend Pele said the time span of the cash rich Indian Super league is currently “very little.” However he added that the important thing is to start a league of this magnitude in the country, but insisted on increasing the league calendar in the future.
When asked whether the two month league which started last year can change the fortunes of the football in the country, Pele replied: “Two months is a very little time because you need more time to give more opportunities for others and other clubs. But the important thing is to begin, it is very important and beginning was really nice.”
However he added that it is vital to increase the duration of the league in the future. “But it is must to improve. You need more time and more clubs,” he said.
