Sandeep Sharma and his co-driver Karan Arya of Team Maruti continued to maintain lead in the Ultimate Car category of the Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare rally on Wednesday. The duo completed the Day 3 stage, held alongside the Tugabhadra canal, in 3:03:40 ahead of Samrat Yadav (co-driver Gaurav, 3:08:48) and Suresh Rana (co-driver Parminder, 3:11:00).
In the Ultimate Bike category, Arvind KP maintained his position at the top as he finished Day 3 with the timing of 2:52:41 . Natraj (2:56:54) and Abdul Wahid (3:06:07) came second and third respectively.
In the Endurance category, Dilip Jain (co-driver Chandra Shekhar), who started the day at second position, moved up to secure the top spot while Asgar Ali (co-driver Mustafa) of Team Maruti and Ganesh Moorthy (co-driver Nagarajan) attained the second and third position respectively. At the end of the day, Subhir Roy (co-driver Nirav Mehta) of Team Maruti experienced a big fall as they moved from the first to the ninth position due to the increase in penalties.
