Among the favourites to lift the trophy, Colombian coach Orlando Restrepo is not willing to downplay the importance of any team in their group. He is of the opinion that there are no easy teams in the World Cup.
"We are preparing for all the teams in the group," said Restrepo. "All the teams are good, there are no bad teams in a World Cup, so whether it's India, Ghana or USA none can be taken lightly. Each of them have their own strengths. And we have tried to work on building our team to face each of them with full intensity."
Indian under-17 team recently played Colombia in Mexico during a four-nation tournament and were easily beaten 0-4. Restrepo asked not to read too much into it as he thinks Blue Cubs were under-prepared at that time.
"We have played against India already, in Mexico, where we also played against Chile in the tournament. They arrived there for first time and had little time to adapt to the time difference and the weather conditions.
“It was a big task for them to play with being jet lagged. So they lost to us with that margin," said the Colombian coach.
Restrepo now see them as a tough test as he is expecting to be an improved side with crowd on their side.
"Here they (India) are at home, they know the conditions, they have the fans backing, and I am sure they are working on different areas to improve and do their best in the World Cup," said the 60-year-old coach.
Restrepo said they have prepared well for this football extravaganza as he feels his team is ready for the opening match against Ghana on Friday.
