Sania Mirza: The Hyderabadi had a splendid 2015 with ten titles of which nine came with Martina Hingis. The duo won Wimbledon and US Open together before capping off the season with the year ending WTA Finals title. Deservedly, Sania finished the year atop the doubles rankings.

leander Paes: While Sania enjoyed in women’s doubles, Paes - an Olympic medallist - had a great year in mixed doubles and again with Hingis involved. The Indo-Swiss pair won three Grand Slam titles in Australia, Wimbledon and US Open. It became also the year where Paes reached 700 match wins in doubles.

Yuki Bhambri: After starting the year at 315 in world rankings, Bhambri would finish the year in the top 100 thanks to Challenger titles won in Shanghai and Pune alongside multiple runners-up finishes. The highlight of his year would be the comeback win in New Zealand in the Davis Cup.

Novak Djokovic: A one-of-a-kind, Novak Djokovic won three Grand Slams (Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open), came within touching distance of winning the French Open as well — the only Slam that has eluded him. Further, the Serb won six Masters 1000 events and enjoyed a 15-consecutive finals run.

Serena Williams: Going into 2015, Serena was looking to edge Martina Navratilova’s and Chris Evert’s Slam count of 18 but by the end of the year, Serena had almost matched Steffi Graf’s 22. She won the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon only to stumble in the semis at Flushing Meadows to Roberta Vinci, thus preventing a decorative Slam.

Andy Murray: The Briton ended the year at No.2 with runners-up finish at the Australian Open and semis at French Open and Wimbledon. He finished the year by guiding Great Britain to Davis Cup glory after 79 years.
