Bhajji Appreciates Bowlers

Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh on Monday applauded the Indian bowlers' performance in the do-or- die clash against South Africa, saying it was a perfect example of how not to give away cheap runs. He felt the chase was going to be easy as they dismissed a world-class side for a paltry total.

‘Unrecognisable Proteas’

Dismayed by South Africa's capitulation, former skipper Graeme Smith said the Proteas were simply "unrecognisable" during their timid loss to India in the do-or-die Champions Trophy clash. He felt the spark and the intensity was missing from the players.  He hoped Proteas batsman would put more pressure on the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneswar Kumar.

It Was My Mistake: Faf

He is ready to accept his fault in the game-changing run-outs against India but Faf du Plessis insisted that South Africa "never deserved to be in the semi- finals" because of the quality of cricket they played during the CT. Du Plessis was responsible for run out of skipper AB de Villiers and David Miller within a space of six deliveries which turned the match head on.
