Indian Handloom Brand will be organising the Indian Handloom Design Contest to attract young talent for contemporary designing, an international level design contest for aspirants from India and abroad. The first phase of the contest began from April 3, 2016.
The international fashion design competition will give the winners a chance to win valuable industry accolades and cash prizes, with a total of 18 prizes in categories of best design entry, second best design entry and a jury special award for Indian, western and Indo-western type. The winning 18 ensembles will be showcased at a grand event on second National Handloom Day. .
The competition is open for individual entries from natural person or a group/entity and applicants must be 18 years old or above. The invited entries must be the original work of the applicants. The contest will be a two stage process. The first stage applicants will submit ensemble sketches with swatches. The shortlisted entries will then submit their final prototypes.
