Not this way

Nottingham: England pacer Jofra Archer and batsman Jason Roy have been fined 15 percent of their match fee for showing dissent towards the umpire and using audible obscenities respectively during their match against Pakistan. Pakistan captain Sarafraz Ahmed has also been fined 20 per cent for a minor over rate offence in the same game. His teammates were fined 10 percent each after their side was ruled to be one over short of its target after time allowances were taken into consideration. In addition to the fine, one demerit point has been added to the disciplinary record of both Roy and Archer.

Well done brother

Nottingham: Legendary West Indies batsman Vivian Richards has congratulated Pakistan for registering a convincing 14-run win over England on Monday. Taking to Twitter, Richards posted a 30-second video in which he said, "What a wonderful win for Pakistan. I know for sure there were a lot of doubts today (for Pakistan). To beat the favourites is a magnificent win for Pakistan, especially after the way they played against West Indies." "Let me take this opportunity to say to Quetta Gladiators captain in PSL Sarfaraz Ahmad — Well done brother," he added.

Team effort

Nottingham: Mohammad Hafeez saluted Pakistan's "total team effort" after they stunned hosts England on Monday. Hafeez earned the man-of-the-match award for his influential innings of 84 from 62 balls as he punished England for dropping him when he was on 14. The 38-year-old also took the key wicket of England captain Eoin Morgan. "Everyone was believing we could do this. We were playing good cricket but not winning crucial stages of the game," he told Sky Sports. "Everyone chipped in today and gave everything which was required to win the game. "We needed one winning performance and then everyone contributed accordingly. It was a total team effort. It is a very happy dressing room."
