South Africa's left hand batsman JP Duminy was happy with the team's performance after losing to India A in their T20 warm up game here on Tuesday. India A chased down target of 189 set by Proteas and beat them comfortably by 8 wickets.

Addressing the media post match, the batsman said, "I would have loved the result to go our way but I am pleased with first outing in India and having scored 189, I think it's a commendable job done by the team. Yes, we could have done things differently with the bowl and execute our actions better but it's not something that we need to talk much about.

I have full faith in the bowlers and I believe they will deliver the goods for the team in the coming matches.

The boys know where they went wrong from time to time but we still have good three days before the first T20, so it's important for us to make sure that we put in some real good work leading to that first game and hopefully we can win that one." he signed off.

‘loss an eye-opener for sa’

A jubilant and happy India A captain Mandeep Singh said that “this defeat for Proteas should be an eye-opener as they prepare for upcoming matches” starting October 2.

Mayank Agarwal who was star of the day for his superb 87-run knock off 49 balls credited his success to some of the bowlers in the tri-series in Chennai.

The batsman is now looing to make his place in Karnataka Ranji team of which he has been out despite his blazing form. "It is important to score runs in whatever opportunities I get and focus on the process. Karnataka is a strong side and we have a lot of bonding. So hopefully i can play in the Karnataka team this season." Mayank concluded.
