Australian women’s cricket team overcame the disappointment of losing the T20I series, as they thrashed India Women by 101 runs in first ODI here on Tuesday.
With this victory, Australia have taken a 1-0 lead in the three-ODI series. After posting a competitive 276 for six today, Australia bundled out India for 175 in 46.5 overs. The home team rode on a brilliant 180-run stand for the third wicket between Alex Blackwell (114) and Ellyse Perry (90) after opting to bat first.
India faltered in their run chase with Perry contributing with the ball as well. Returning impressive figures of four for 45, Perry ran through India’s top and middle order with visitors struggling to get into groove.
