Raut (70 off 92) and Raj (62 off 79) then delivered with the bat, taking their team to a comfortable win in 33 overs after a rather jittery start to the chase. The other teams in the tournament were Zimbabwe and Ireland. Captain Raj not only guided the team to a resounding win but also became the first Indian captain to lead the side in 100 ODIs. The tournament also turned out to be good preparation for India ahead of the World Cup, which begins in the UK next month.

PCB WANTS TO DISCUSS MATTERS WITH BCCI

Karachi: Amidst bleak chances of an India-Pakistan bilateral series in the near future, a top Pakistani official on Sunday said the two countries are likely to hold talks during a Champions Trophy match in England. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan said he would discuss the matter once again with the BCCI officials during the June 4 ICC Champions Trophy match between the two sides at Edgbaston, Dunya News reported. Khan also admitted that the chances of a bilateral series with India remain bleak. On May 3, the PCB sent a legal notice to the BCCI for not honouring an MOU, signed in 2014, to play six bilateral series between 2015 and 2023.
