After a hugely disappointing last two campaigns, which saw Kings XI Punjab finish at the bottom of the league, the fans will be looking for better showing this time around.
led by the explosive power-hitter Glenn Maxwell, the side also have England's Eoin Morgan and West Indies' Darren Sammy. Besides they have the likes of Martin Guptill, Shaun Marsh, David Miller and Hashim Amla to score plenty of runs.
They also possess good domestic players in Wriddhiman Saha, Manan Vohra to help with the batting. All-rounders Gurkeerat Singh and Axar Patel can also be banked on to help them out at difficult situations.
However, bowling seems to be the side's biggest problem as Maxwell has to make the most of the inexperienced Indian bowling unit comprising of Varun Aaron, Sandeep Sharma and Mohit Sharma. Matt Henry would be a valuable foreign addition. The spin department will be lead by Axar Patel. But lack of international bowlers might be a problem for the side. Moreover, the side will have to manage without the injured Murali Vijay.
