He has been acting for the last eight years and done commercials, TV shows like Khauff Begins, and films like Delhi Belly, Khoobsurat and Drishyam, Rishabh Chada will now be seen playing an IIT-aspirant in Kota Toppers on Bindaas.
“I play Siddharth Shah who enrolls himself at Vardhan Coaching Classes in Kota to prepare for this IIT exam. The story revolves around the students who come from various cities and different cultural background and how they face daily challenges and bond with the professor,” Chadha says adding that this is the first situational comedy on Bindaas by Bodhi Tree Productions.
The actor tells you that after playing a negative role in Drishyam who gets murdered, he got due recognition and lot of projects. “It feels good to be recognised now. More than the TV shows and films, advertisements played a bigger role in propelling me into the limelight. After doing Drishyam, it has opened more doors for me. Now people see me in negative roles. Work for me has become easier. My belief in myself as an actor it gets better everyday,” Chadha says whose acting career kickstarted with doing theatre with Out Of The Box production house owned by Abhishek Patnaik, Murtuza Kutianawala and Suketu Shah.
For Chadha, making a switch from theatre to TV to movies was difficult but with his subtle acting, methodology he managed it well. “I want to be known as a subtle actor. If you’ll see me in the film and TV, I’ll be subtle. If you’ll see me in the theatre, I’ll be a little more subtle. I start with being low key and let my director decide from there on. You need that one person and a thought that you can change things in and around you. So for Drishyam, somebody believed in me. Good things come to people who wait. I’m aiming for great so I’ll have to wait longer. It just depends what kind of work you get and if you really want to do it,” Chadha tells you.
