Dinner Date With Wife

“Valentine’s day for me is paying unnecessary tax for falling in love or getting married (laughs). For me, it’s not a specific day when you express love but considering it is hyped so much, I go out with my wife. I remember there was a big confusion once when I was sick during Valentine’s Day and I had locked my hostel room and had asked my friends to lock it from outside too so that no one disturbs me. My father used to stay nearby and would come see me. He saw the room locked and thought that I did it on purpose and that I was inside with somebody. I remember this so vividly and the confusion it created that I decided never to go out on Valentine’s Day. This year if I get some time off shoot then I’ll go out for dinner with my wife.”

 Wish For An International Holiday

“Valentine’s Day is generally a surprise, so I am going to keep it that way and spend it with my wife. The aim is to make the day special and different for her. My best valentine gift would be an international holiday with her, where both of us get to spend some time alone. Both of us have been extremely busy!”

love Expressed The Whole Year

“There shouldn’t be just one day to express love, it should be expressed throughout the year. I was in a co-ed school; the boys were afraid of giving red roses to girls since it meant love and if anyone gave a red rose to any girl that would be the hottest topic for gossip. Therefore, most would give a yellow rose as a symbol of friendship but secretly slip a love letter too, in order to avoid gossip. Honestly I never got a rose in my school days. This year, I have not planned anything yet since my husband and I would both be shooting, maybe we will just go out for dinner.”

Spend It With loved Ones

“It is a day filled with gestures of love and should be spent with your loved one. I remember in my school days, this girl who wouldn’t talk to me and just to make her talk, I told her that I met with an accident. I had even bandaged my head to gain her love and sympathy. I gifted her a teddy bear but she couldn’t take it in front of her parents so she asked her neighbour to pass it to her through the back window. It was cheesy but it worked for me. Nothing planned this year since I will be busy shooting.”
