Yet another season of Kaun Banega Crorepati... What is the level of excitementIJ
It is as if we had never left the set after the last season was wrapped up. KBC is like a party for all of us. Add to that Mr Bachchan’s exuberance and it becomes electrifying too. As for me, I am honoured to be a part of so many seasons. It is a humbling experience.
How are you preparing for Season 7 of this showIJ
We are at a very nascent stage of developing a script for the show. But the meetings have all started. There are creative meets held every week which are attended by Sidharth Basu and his team and Amitabh Bachchan too. We take creative inputs and try to weave them into the script. It is not an overnight job. Since KBC is a very popular programme with very high TRPs, we can’t go wrong in any sense. So, the script needs to be finalised by everyone present. Only then are we set to roll.
What changes we will get to see in this seasonIJ
It is a simple quiz show and the makers are pretty happy with the way it has shaped up. So, I don’t see the need to introduce unnecessary changes to an already popular format.
However, because the show is reduced to 37-38 episodes for this season, there may be remarkable changes in the game play. Nothing concrete has been decided on that front as of now. Scriptwise, we will be focusing on ‘learning’ which is the theme for this season.
Does Amitabh Bachchan ideate on the scriptIJ
He is the soul of the programme and no one can ever feed him with a script. He is just too good on his own. Even in the previous installments, Big B has taken over the show on his own. My role is very limited here.
But you are not signing any films after this show...
I am very dedicated towards the show and it takes up a lot of my time. But I get paid handsomely and get to learn a few tips from the legendary Bachchan. I am not complaining at all. This set has become my second home. And I am hoping to be a part of this show till the very end.

The celebrated ‘Hot Seat’ of Kaun Banega Crorepati will travel across the length and breadth of the country giving the common man an opportunity to experience the magic of the game right in their city. The Hot Seat Aapke Shehar van was kicked off by Amitabh Bachchan in Mumbai on Saturday as part of the promotional activity for Kaun Banega Crorepati 2013.
The promotional van will travel to 12 cities across India starting from Surat and going to Ahmedabad, Jaipur, ludhiana, Meerut, lucknow, Varanasi, Patna, Kolkata, Nagpur, Indore and finally Nashik.
