The ghosts are back on TV with Season 3 of Fear Files. PARTH TAYAl tells you how they are, once again, based on true horror stories, shot in haunted locations & in documentary format

Terror, fright, horror, alarm, panic, agitation, trepid-ation, dread are some of the words used for fear. But does fear really exist because scientifically it is just bad vibes that leads us to feel this ‘fear’. Basically, it is a state of mind where our brain starts assuming things even before it happens and triggers an adrenaline rush to stimulate the feeling of fear. When seen virtually, we tend to enjoy this feeling of fear, as deep inside us, we all know it isn’t true. But what if it isIJ

Taking a cue from this, Zee TV has come up with its third season of Fear Files- Darr Ki Sacchi Tasveerien after a gap of two years. Reconstructing real life incidents, the show will demystify some events that have occurred in different parts of the country.

The series has been shot in documentary format to give you a personal connect with the stories and the people who experienced it. The sets have also been recreated so that viewers can identify with the place like a haunted skyscraper to a lonesome night in a train compartment to a mysterious beach, a haunted jungle and a hotel that has ghosts.

Sukesh Motwani, producer of the show, says: “All the incidents that we will show are authentic, true and credible. We will ensure that viewers are not disappointed when it comes to the fear quotient of these tales. There are a plenty of scary moments if the viewers are willing to experience it.”

With its realism quotient, the show promises to be different as compared to the previous shows made in this genre like Aahat, Zee Horror show, Ssshhhh….. Koi hai. The show will take a user-generated content approach that will send a message across to the viewers to share their experiences. Discussions will be invited on social media where viewers can share their experiences through Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. The best stories will be selected and episodes will be made based on them.

Produced by Bodhi Tree Productions, this season will have 30 episodes to be aired on weekends at 10:30 pm. Talking about the time slot, Deepak Rajadhyaksha, Deputy Business Head, Zee TV said: “The shows belonging to this genre are supposed to be telecast after the 10 pm slot. As 10-10:30 pm is bedtime for children, the adults can watch it alone. If children want to watch it, it should be in adult supervision”.
